Product Overview
IXPER® Calcium Peroxide (IXPER® 75C) is a fine, odorless powder designed to supply a long-lasting source of oxygen to the subsurface for enhanced aerobic bioremediation. When hydrated, IXPER slowly releases oxygen over an extended period, supporting the microbial degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons and other oxygen-demanding contaminants in soil and groundwater.
Because it naturally breaks down into environmentally compatible byproducts, IXPER provides a clean, reliable, and efficient method for restoring oxygen-limited aquifers and supporting sustainable site remediation.

Features & Benefits
Long-Term Oxygen Release
Provides a steady supply of oxygen as it reacts with groundwater, maintaining aerobic conditions for weeks to months.
Stable, Easy-to-Handle Powder
Fine, free-flowing material that is simple to mix, apply, and incorporate into injection or soil-mixing strategies.
Ideal for Extended Natural Attenuation Support
Perfect for sites where native oxygen levels are insufficient to sustain biodegradation rates or where oxygen demand is high.
Supports Aerobic Biodegradation
Enhances microbial degradation of fuel-related contaminants, including TPH, BTEX, MTBE, ETBE, and PAHs.
Food-Grade Quality
Manufactured to meet food-grade specifications, ensuring safety, consistency, and compatibility with sensitive environments.
How It Works
When IXPER® comes into contact with water, it undergoes a slow decomposition reaction that produces:
- Oxygen (O₂): Supports aerobic microorganisms responsible for contaminant degradation.
- Calcium Hydroxide: A benign byproduct that helps maintain favorable pH conditions.
This controlled-release chemistry creates a sustained oxygen supply within the subsurface, enabling aerobic microbes to continuously break down hydrocarbon contaminants without the need for frequent reinjection.
Applications
IXPER® is well-suited for treating:
- Petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)
- BTEX compounds
- MTBE and ETBE
- PAHs
- Residual or adsorbed hydrocarbon mass
- Aerobic polishing following aggressive remediation methods
Common deployment scenarios include:
Treatment of shallow soils or sediments
In situ mixing
Injection as a slurry
Placement in trenches or permeable barriers
Delivery & Handling
IXPER® Calcium Peroxide can be applied through:
- Direct-to-soil mixing methods
- Hydraulic or pneumatic fracturing slurries
- Injection wells when prepared as a suspended slurry
- Excavated area backfill amendments
Its stable, powder-based form allows for easy transport, storage, and blending into site-specific delivery systems.
