Advanced Equipment Solutions for Oxidation and Chemical Treatment
Carus Europe provides advanced equipment solutions designed to optimise chemical application while supporting safe, consistent operation. Our current equipment offer focuses on potassium permanganate (KMnO₄) preparation, dosing, and measurement—helping utilities and industrial facilities improve process control, reduce manual handling, and maintain reliable treatment performance.
Below are the equipment solutions recommended by Carus Europe.
PermaTest Scan – Robotic KMnO₄ Analyzer
PermaTest Scan is a compact, fully automatic robotic analyzer designed to measure residual permanganate in aqueous solutions for water treatment purposes. The instrument receives an input signal from the 201S‑090 sensor and displays the measured value on-screen in engineering units. Results can be retransmitted through two galvanically isolated 4–20 mA proportional outputs and the system also supports remote control via Ethernet (Modbus TCP‑IP).
Key capabilities
- Fully automatic control with easy calibration using known permanganate solutions
- Two sampling and measuring streams (programmable batch sampling)
- Designed to operate with turbid water and water rich in manganese dioxide
- Wide operating range (from ultrapure water to seawater) without requiring sensor recalibration
- Fast analysis time / response: 30 seconds
- Touchscreen interface with remote alarms
Typical monitoring points (customer‑selectable) include pre‑oxidation and locations across sedimentation and filtration stages.

PermaDos Series – KMnO₄ Preparation and Dosing Systems
PermaDos Series is a modular and expandable, fully automatic system designed for the continuous preparation of potassium permanganate solutions from dry product. Built for civil and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, it supports consistent performance across key treatment steps such as pre‑oxidation, sedimentation, clarification, and sludge dewatering while prioritising safety and operational efficiency.
How the process works
- Mixing – initial dosing and homogenisation with concentration control
- Maturation – reaction and stabilisation of the solution
- Stocking – controlled storage awaiting use
- Withdrawal – precise and regular dispensing of the solution
Key benefits
- Automatic preparation of ready‑to‑use solution (reduced manual labour and errors)
- High precision concentration control using a g/L measurement probe
- Modular configurations to match different site requirements and expand over time
- Improved safety: design helps prevent dust release into the environment
- Reduced waste, lower energy consumption, and simplified maintenance
Applications
- Processes with flotation units, decanters, and filter presses
- Civil and industrial purification plants
- Sludge and wastewater treatment
- Oxidation of arsenic, iron, and manganese
- Site cleanup / remediation
